Interviewer: Hello, Sergey. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today.
Sergey Brin: It’s my pleasure.
Interviewer: Let’s start with a little bit about your background. Can you tell me how you got interested in computer science and technology?
Sergey Brin: I’ve always been interested in technology. I remember when I was a kid, I would take apart my parents’ computers to see how they worked. I was fascinated by the way that they could be used to solve problems and create new things.
Interviewer: You co-founded Google with Larry Page in 1998. What was the inspiration for starting Google?
Sergey Brin: We were both graduate students at Stanford at the time, and we were working on a project to improve the way that the internet was indexed. We realized that there was a better way to organize information, and we decided to start a company to make it happen.
Interviewer: Google has become one of the most successful companies in the world. What do you think has been the key to its success?
Sergey Brin: I think there are a few things that have contributed to Google’s success. First, we have a great team of people who are passionate about making Google the best it can be. Second, we have a strong focus on innovation. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our products and services. Third, we have a commitment to making information accessible to everyone. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and grow, and we’re committed to making that happen.
Interviewer: Google has had a major impact on the way that people use the internet. What do you think the future holds for Google and the internet?
Sergey Brin: I think the internet is still in its early stages of development. There are so many possibilities for what it can be used for, and I’m excited to see what the future holds. I believe that Google will continue to play a leading role in shaping the future of the internet.
Interviewer: Thank you for your time, Sergey.
Sergey Brin: You’re welcome.
