The billionaire Amazon founder and his fiancee Lauren Sanchez have reportedly taken the Malibu house of American saxophonist Kenny G on rent and are paying roughly $600,000. The pair have been staying at the opulent oceanfront home since March this year and are furnishing it as per their liking as the mansion, which has a 3,500 square foot guesthouse, spacious backyard, pool, screening room, and recording studio, was provided to them in a semi-furnished state.
Kenny G bought the main home in 1998 for $12.5 million and two years later purchased the lot next door and constructed a more miniature mansion on it. The entire compound covers 2.5 acres and also comes with a screening room, a massive recording studio, and a key to Little Dume Beach, one of the most exclusive beaches in the area.
It is still being determined how much the couple is paying for the lavish temporary property, which is situated cliffside overlooking the sea, with a beautiful backyard and a massive pool. But it must be a drop in the bucket for the couple as the primary home built by the Grammy-winning musician is worth more than $50 million.
According to a report in TMZ, Mr. Bezos and Ms. Sanchez are furnishing the mansion as they like, as the home comes with a 3,500 square foot guesthouse, expansive backyard, pool, screening room, and a recording studio. The two have been renting the opulent oceanfront home since the beginning of this year. They are furnishing the place as per their liking as the mansion is situated on the hill overlooking the sea and has a beautiful backyard and a massive pool. The couple is also doing their bit for charity by donating some of the rental amounts to Torrance Memorial Hospital.
The opulent house in the coveted Carbon Canyon community is equipped with top-of-the-line fixtures and appliances. Renowned designer Rande Gerber has decorated its interiors. The home features a large living room, formal dining room, and kitchen with custom cabinets, high-end appliances, and a wine cellar. The main suite has a large walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with a luxurious spa-like shower and dual vanities.
The billionaire couple is currently staying at the opulent home as their Beverly Hills estate is under construction, and they want to spend some time there before settling in. It is unknown how long they will stay at home, but if they cannot wait, they can always camp out on their $500 million superyacht Koru or spend some time at their other homes in California. The three-time divorced multi-billionaire owns a prodigious real-estate portfolio that includes everything from an estate in Maui to luxury homes in New York and Washington. In addition, he is the third wealthiest person in the world and has a fleet of private planes and luxury yachts.
