How Do You Clean Stainless Steel Sheets?

Stainless steel sheet is among the most widely used materials when it comes to sheet metal fabrication. After all, it offers a host of benefits. In most instances, engineers, specifiers, and designers fail to recognize the benefits of stainless steel and view it as an expensive option.

But the real value of stainless-steel sheet is often greater than its initial price. It is worth mentioning that stainless steel can be used in a variety of ways, most times for building and construction purposes. You can use the sheets for anything from a kitchen back splash, to a design covering an entire wall.

The elegant look of the stainless-steel sheet, coupled with the superior durability of the products makes it the ideal element for use on a home interior. Either way, you should make it the norm to clean your stainless-steel sheets if you’re to maintain the polished appearance. Actually, that’s needed to leave it looking its best at all times.

You don’t have to go through a lot merely because you want to clean your stainless-steel sheet. Actually, you only need vinegar, soft cleaning cloth, baking soda (optional) and water (optional). With these in place, you need to moisten the soft cleaning cloth with white vinegar, using just enough to make the cloth damp, but not soaked and dripping with vinegar.

Keep in mind the vinegar will clean and disinfect the stainless-steel sheets without damaging the steel surface. Now wipe the damp cloth over the sheets using long, steady strokes. This provides a more even cleaning, plus eliminates streaks and smudges.

Ensure you repeat this process until the entire stainless-steel sheet has been cleaned, then wipe once more with a clean, dry soft cloth. The essence of doing this is to absorb any leftover vinegar solution, leaving the stainless-steel gleaming and flawless.

It doesn’t with that since you should also sprinkle a thick coating of baking soda over any stained areas that are not easily removed with the vinegar solution. Dampen a cleaning cloth, then rub the baking soda into the stainless-steel sheet.

Now scrub in small circular motions, then wipe the stainless steel sheet with a damp cloth. Repeat until the entire stain has been removed. Clean once more with the vinegar solution, again wiping in long, even strokes to prevent streaking or spots. Finally, wipe the stainless-steel sheet using a dry cloth.
